Lions Clubs International Foundation

Founded in 1968, the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has as mission to tackle global problems, as well as assisting Lions with large-scale local humanitarian projects and improve lives around the world far into the future. This is denoted by their motto “We Serve”. The Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) is the backbone of LCIF.

Why the MJF ?

  • To create and foster a spirit of understanding all over the world.

  • To promote good government and good citizenship.

  • To take active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

  • To bond & unite in friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.

  • To encourage service-minded people to serve their community at large.

Our Founder-CEO was awarded by the MJF and is a proud member. He is seen as an academician and professionally disciplined to seek & facilitate the welfare of people in Seychelles.

KB Emporium - A Stellar Milestone

An Inauguration to Remember

The KB Emporium building was inaugurated on September 19th, 2019 by the Vice-President of the Republic, Mr Vincent Meriton. In attendance were a number of dignitaries as follows: 

  • Mr Charles Decomarmond, Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly

  • The Indian High Commissioner,  General Dalbir Singh Duhag

  • Mr Jean-Paul Adam, Minister for Health

  • Mrs Pamela Charlette , Minister for Habitat, Infrastructure & Transport 

  • Mrs Myriam Telemaque, Minister for Employment, Immigration & Civil Status.


In his speech for the occasion, the Vice-President had praised the Shreeji Group for being innovative and forward-minded and coming up with the KB project, which has the Providence Industrial Estate the feel of a second town and called on other businesses to follow.

Kickstarting 2020 with Leadership Skills Training

Shreeji Group staff being transformed for Leadership Skills through Vimentis (Mr. Christopher Lespoir) & Disruptivibes (Ms. Marie-Celine). 

The general aim of this program was to provide capacity building for employees of Shreeji Group so that they have a better sense of ownership to the company, and hence become more customer focus. The specific objectives of this program were:

  • To provide training sessions to create awareness of customer orientation through mind-set change. 

  • To engage participants in sustainable change management using toolkits tailor made for employees depending on their needs.  

The 2-Day training took place in NAYOPI Business Centre where teams from: Laxmi Trading, GOPI Supermarket, Ani Decor, NAYOPI Restaurant & Shreeji Group Management attended.

With no working experience whatsoever, today he considers himself very lucky to have secured a job in a private construction company nine years ago just after completing his two-year diploma in construction course at the Seychelles Institute of Technology (SIT).

Best Employee Competition over the Seychelles

The Best Employee Award was created to recognize and honor unusual dedication and outstanding contributions by a classified staff member within the different companies over the Seychelles.

According to Julio; Quantity Surveyor of Shreeji Construction, also the Award Winner, the first thing is to organize yourself by knowing your roles and responsibilities in your company. In addition to that, you should understand what it takes to go a step beyond what your current role entails.


For him all what he does daily is about;

  • Producing quality work

  • With always putting in extra effort

  • Managing the operative framework for staff

  • Volunteering for and working on special projects

  • Serving and contributing to the success of the company

Occupational, Health & Safety Awards

Safety First

The Ministry of Labour & Human Resource Development – Labour Monitoring & Compliance Section is working on the ongoing effort to promote occupational safety and health at work and also rewarding the best workplaces which have made tremendous effort towards achieving safe and healthy working environment on an annual basis.

  • In the year 2003 we won the Best Safe & Healthy Workplace Competition

  • In 2004, we won the third place for Safe & Healthy Workplace

  • In 2016, we obtained the STAR prize in the Construction, Mining and Quarrying Category
